Raccoons Are Digging Up My Lawn!
Lawn Grub – Damaged Lawn
Fall is usually the time when you can relax about your lawn. What we’re seeing an abundance of this fall in our area is raccoon damage. The raccoons pull up sections of lawn, usually in rolls or patches, in search of the juicy, fat, lawn grubs they love; leaving your lawn looking like a mini war zone. The grubs are usually Japanese Beetle offspring and fall is their biggest feeding time – making this a great time to treat for them. Here’s some great info on how to do this:

Even after you treat for grubs, the raccoons may return. They’re smart critters and they figure where they once found food, there will be more. One home remedy that seems to keep the raccoons away while the grub treatment is working, is to place chili powder on the lawn. Do not do this if you have humans or animals who will use the lawn within 2 weeks!
As always, if you just don’t want to deal with it, or don’t have time…WE CAN HELP!
My garden irrigation system is set to operate at 5 am. Unfortunately yesterday at about 9 am on my line #5 the water came on (it may have been on for some time)
and flooded the rear lawn area before it was discovered and shut off manually.
Do you do, or know of persons who do, PVC line defect correction, clock repair/replacement, and line valve replacement? Also sprinkler head replacement, rain bird replacement, and the like?
Please let me hear from you.
